Govt turning blind eye towards demands of differently challenged, sickle cell patients

Nagpur: National Differently Abled Welfare Association and Sickle Cell Society of India had taken out a morcha to the assembly from Ganesh Tekdi to press their demands. In this morcha the differently abled from all over the State had participated, which led by National Differently Abled Welfare Association President Trimbak Mokasare.

He said that from last 20 years the differently abled persons had been agitating for their demands but the government has been turning a blind eye. He demanded the government should give chance to differently abled persons’ leaders from the gram panchayat to legislative assembly. He said the government had agreed for 3 per cent funds through welfare for their development but there is a lot of corruption in this. He said instead of giving money to the differently challenged women she should be given a government job. The government has planned many schemes for the differently abled people but the schemes have not been implemented.

He demanded separate department for disabled, welfare policy for the disabled, Action plan, disabled be appointed on differently challenged commissioner’s post, Political Reservation, demand for jobs for all differently challenged and other demands.


On this occasion Sunil Dhanwde said that the sickle Cell patients be given the status of disabled. Sickle Cell patients should be given certificate of disabled, free bus service for the attendant of sickle cell patients. Till now the sickle cell patients have not been give free bus service.
