Govt planning measures to overcome drought situations in State permanently: CM Fadnavis

“Central Government has sent a team to overcome drought situation in the State and the assistance will follow soon. However, need of the hour is finding permanent solution to drought situations by studying environmental effects on farming and planning harvests accordingly,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while talking to journalists covering the Winter Session.

Fadnavis paid a goodwill visit to ‘Suyog,’ the residential camp of journalists covering the Winter Session of Maharashtra Legislature being held in Nagpur. Others who were present on the occasion include Suyog Residential Camp Chief Rajan Parkar, Legislature Reporters’ Association President Pravin Puro, Information and Public Relations Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Pravin Darade, Information and Public Relations Director General Chandrashekhar Oak.

The Chief Minister interacted with the journalists in a cheerful atmosphere and talked on overall development of Maharashtra. Fadnavis dwelt upon remedial measures on drought situation in State, present status of projects pending with Central Government and the State Government’s efforts for early clearance of them.
