Nagpur News: Maharashtra Cabinet on Tuesday approved Rs 113.74 crore for construction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Convention Centre in Nagpur. The Centre is being constructed under Vidarbha Development Programme 2009. Nagpur Improvement Trust is looking after the construction of Centre as Nodal Agency.
The Vidarbha Development Programme 2009 is aimed at speeding development projects in Vidarbha and increasing basic facilities as well as irrigation capacity. The work of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Convention Centre in Nagpur comes under jurisdiction of Social Justice Department. Earlier, the State Government had approved Rs 22 crore for the Centre.
