Government Plans Safety Measures on Samruddhi Mahamarg Dedicated to Late Balasaheb Thackeray

Nagpur: In a bid to prevent accidents on the Samruddhi Mahamarg dedicated to late Hindu heartthrob Balasaheb Thackeray, the government is contemplating various measures. Home Minister Shambhuraj Desai provided this information while responding to a starred question. The proposed initiatives include marking 14 stretches with the same rating to ensure uniformity, and the revelation of plans to create shock-absorbent roadways. The information was shared during a session where several members, including Mahadev Jankar, Satyajit Tambe, and Amol Mitkari, posed questions in the assembly.

To avert incidents on the prosperous route, the government is considering implementing measures such as marked stretches and resilient roadways, as indicated in the response by Home Minister Shambhuraj Desai. The information was disclosed during the session, with MSRTC also being informed about plans to install speed bumps to prevent wildlife collisions on the prosperous route.
