In a typical filmy style, two brothers along with their accomplices surrounded a man and beat him up and abducted his brother who allegedly had taken money from the latter. The case was registered under Lakadganj police station area.
The accused have been identified as Gotu Kanoliya (25) and Babu Kanoliya (20), both residents of Umatewadi, Naik Talao. As per information, the complainant Vinod Gopalrao Rambhad’s brother had taken Rs 2000 from the accused but failed to return them on time. When he didn’t return the money after repeated warnings, the accused and their accomplices surrounded him and Vinod (32) and his brother on Monday at around 8.30 pm and showered Vinod with punches and hockey sticks. The accused later left injured Vinod and abducted his brother.
Vinod, a resident of Umatewadi, Naik Talao, managed to reach Lakadganj police station and lodged a complaint with cops against Gotu and Babu. Cops swung into action and started their investigations after registering an offence under Sections 363, 143, 147, 149 and 323 of the IPC against the accused.
