Nagpur: Following the footsteps of land mafia, a goon grabbed ancestral property of a 71-year old man in Shantinagar area. The accused even constructed compound wall and rented two rooms of the property and usurped the rent money.
The complainant, Bhagwan Balaji Khapre (71), resident of Trimurti Nagar, had gone to Pune as part of service a couple of years back. Khapre has ancestral property situated at Premnagar, Plot No. 1173, Khasra No. 129, Mauza Binaki in Shantinagar police jurisdiction. The accused Pravin Balkrishna Bhandarkar, residing near ancestral property of Khapre, took the advantage of Khapre’s absence and grabbed his property sometime before 2016. The accused even constructed compound wall, rented two rooms of the property and gobbled up the rent money. When Khapre came to know about the unauthorised possession of his ancestral property by the accused Pravin Bhandarkar he lodged a complaint with Shantinagar police in this regard.
ASI Ghansham Tiwari, acting on the complaint, has booked the accused Pravin Bhandarkar under Sections 448, 403, 406 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
