Goods worth Rs one lakh including gold ornaments stolen

Nagpur: The burglars seem to be getting bolder by the day. In one such incident that occurred in Rana Pratap Nagar, some unidentified burglars broke into a house and stole goods worth Rs one lakh including gold ornaments.

According to police sources, this incident occurred between August 5, 2015 to August 6, 2015. The victim identified as Chandu Vitoba Selokar aged 35 years, Plot No 28, Flat No 102, Dhanalaxmi Apartments, Friends Colony, Pratap Nagar had lodged a complaint with the Pratap Nagar Police Station saying that some some unidentified burglars broke into a house and stole goods worth Rs one lakh including gold ornaments. When the burglary occurred, the aged parents of Chandu Selokar were very much present in the house. However, the aged parents could never realize the entry of the burglars in the house. Chandu Selokar claimed that he and his wife had gone for their respective work.

Noticing the open door, unidentified burglars entered the house and stole the gold ornaments kept in the Almirah in the house. When the couple returned from their work in the evening, they realized the burglary committed in their house. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, Assistant Police Inspector Nagtilak of Rana Pratap Police Station registered a case under section 380 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified burglars and has initiated investigations into the matter.
