Gold booty worth Rs 4.63 lakh stolen from house in Pande Layout

Nagpur: Going to a temple for worship cost a woman dearly as burglars struck her house and took away gold-silver ornaments worth Rs 4.63 lakh. The theft occurred in Pande Layout, Khamla, on Monday morning.

The complainant, Rohini Ravindra Deshpande (58), resident of Flat No. 104 of an apartment building in Pande Layout, Khamla, went to a temple for worship around 10.45 am on Monday. At the same time, unidentified burglar(s) broke open the lock of main door and laid their hands of gold-silver ornaments worth Rs 4.63 lakh. The theft came to notice when Rohini returned home and found the lock broken and the valuables missing.

Pratapnagar WPSI Bansod has registered a case under Sections 454, 380 of the IPC and launched a search to apprehend the burglar(s).
