Nagpur: Dr Makrand Vyavhare, who has been accused of mental harassment and sexual harassment of certain victim in GMCH here has been transferred to GMCH Chandrapur where there are no post graduate students. “We are grateful to Education Minister Vinod Tawdeji for once again acting as our guardian and meting out justice in spite of the adverse circumstances,” said MARD.

Regarding the other 7 remaining demands of July 3 , step-wise solutions will be made in time bound manner, and the coordinator will be appointed to prevent future delay at director level, the MARD was informed.

MARD spokesperson also said, “Again we are very thankful to Vinod Tawdeji for truly acting in a very unbiased spirit..and we call off the mass bunk at 2.30 pm today, and all resident doctors will resume duties from 4 pm.”

Amidst all speculations made by citizens, Dr Vyavhare has been merely transferred to GMCH Chandrapur, perhaps without any penal action against criminal charges against him. When and how the charges levelled against him will be disposed of is not yet known.

What is worth noticing is that he happens to be a brother-in-law of Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar who is Guardian Minister of Chandrapur as well. The citizens feel that Dr Vyavhare will be under complete protection of Chandrapur Guardian Minister at Chandrapur, and claim that mere transfer may not meet the end of true justice, for he stands accountable to teacher-taught of guru-shishya relationship on moral grounds, if not on legal complexities.
