Global Nagpur summit concludes with City diaspora vows to make Nagpur global city by 2020

Nagpur: Second edition of Annual Global Nagpur Summit-2015 which was underway at the auditorium of Persistent Systems from November 21 concluded on a positive note here on Sunday.

Nagpur First, an organisation of expatriate Nagpurians based in the US, organised the two-day mega event.

Entrepreneurs from UK Uttaranchal, Canada, US United States along with high profile deputy High Commissioner from the UK, Kumar Iyer, consul general from Australia, Mark Pierce and his counterpart from Sweden, Frederika Ombrandt, representatives of NGOs from various parts of India, US and UK attended the two- day event in which deliberations were held on a scores of topic to make Nagpur a global city by 2020.

President of Nagpur First, Dinesh Jain in his concluding remark said that Nagpur First would work with a single minded determination to make Nagpur a global city by 2020. “We are taking a pledge to fulfill this dream today”, he further said.

Nagpur First would endeavour to highlight the Orange City on all frontiers.
” Though there are weaknesses and strengths, we must forget our weaknesses and build up on our strengths”, he further said.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude towards the audience for extending their support to make Nagpur a global city, Dinesh Jain said, “there are people who have made great sacrifices to make this two day event a grand success”.

Praising Zuber for setting up Wardha IT park, he said even as Nagpur First is making a concerted effort to bring industries in Nagpur- which is an uphill task- there are people who are going beyond this and setting up an IT park in Wardha also which is a welcome thing.

Next year the topic of annual Global NagpurSummit would be equity funding for various industries based in Nagpur and Vidarbha, he announced. Dinesh Jain
