Nagpur: When opposition parties all over the country have been reacting and protesting over the Prime Minister’s statement of ‘Pakoras’ how can the opposition in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) lag behind. The opposition party Congress in NMC made efforts to attack the ruling party BJP over the topic of employment.

The former ruling party leader and present Congress Corporator Sandip Sahare through a letter under section 44 of Act 2011 of Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporation (Revised) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (Repeal) to Corporate Secretary Harish Dubey demanded that the unemployed be given place to sell Pakoras. The ruling party is stunned over the said demand. The ruling party has become alert and active to keep this problem away from the forthcoming meeting to be held on 20 Feb, 2018 and trying to find a legal solution.

Sahare said that on 12 Feb he handed over the letters to the Corporate Secretary. According to rule any Corporator can request 7 days before the meeting to include their letters. Dubey who has become the Corporate Secretary with the help of ruling party is now busy how the letters of Sahare can be rejected from being tabled in the forth coming general meeting. Sahare feels, even though it is a political issue yet the educated unemployeds are increasing in limits on NMC and so it should give place to the unemployeds to set up their Pakora business on Footpath, Bazar, NMC’s vacant land as this will also help the NMC financially.
