Nagpur: Love affair proved to be costly for a youth of Khapri village, when the brother and father of the girl he was in love with, attacked him and his mother with iron rods on Monday under the jurisdiction of Koradi police.
Krishna Bhagwandas Yadav (34), had a love affair with a girl next door. However, girls’ father Punaram Maraskolhe (45) and bother Sunil (21) never liked their relationship. As a result, the accused duo often picked up quarrel with Krishna in the past, asking him to stay away from the girl. They even threatened Krishna with dire consequences. Despite the threats from Punaram and Sunil, Krishna kept on meeting the girl.
Getting angry over it, Punaram and Sunil again picked up a quarrel with Krishna at around 11 am of Monday. The quarrel soon turned violent when the accused duo manhandled Krishna and also hurled abuses at him. Soon the fight took a bloody turn with both Punaram and Sunil attacking Krisha with iron rods. Krishna’s mother who ran for her son’s help was also attacked by the accused duo with the rods.
Later, neighbours admitted Krishna and his mother to nearby hospital for the treatment.
Krishna then lodged a complaint with Koradi police, who have booked Sunil and his father Punaram under Sections 326, 324, 34 of the IPC and launched the investigations into the matter.
