Nagpur: Rash driving proved fatal to a 19-year-old-girl who died after her vehicle dashed against a standing bus in MIDC area. Identified as Priti Mangesh Meshram, the deceased was a student of a nursing college.
Police said that Preeti’s parents run a general store from their house. On Sunday morning, Preeti was going to procure milk for her store on her Honda Activa at about 5.45 am when she accidentally dashed against a standing bus near Sumangal Vihar. She received severe injuries on her head and was lying on the roadside for quite a while in an injured condition.
After almost an hour, passers-by rushed Preeti to a private hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. On getting the news, a team of MIDC police reached the spot. Further investigations are under way.
