Gangwar breaks out in Khamla; five injured

Nagpur: Sensation prevailed at Sindhi Colony in Khamla area as two groups clashed with each other in armed conflict leaving 5 people seriously injured. Police have arrested 11 accused in this connection.

It may be noted here that a battle of supremacy is going on between two political leaders at Sindhi Colony for the past several days.
Both the leaders and their groups are bent on teaching each other a lesson and to establish their supremacy over the affairs of the locality. Clashed between the two groups have also happened in the past.

On Sunday night, at about 11 pm, the complainant Rajat Anilkumar Gajrani (20) had an altercation with the accused including Roshan Chetwani and Shubham Gangwani.

After this, Roshan, Subham and their accomplices including Sagar Chetwani, Santosh Chetwani, Deepak Chetwani. Shubham Chetwani and Shyamsunder Chetwani, all residents of Sindhi Colony, launched an armed attack on the house of Rajat Gajrani. They assaulted Rajat and his family members and also damaged many articles and the house property.

In retaliation, Rajat Gajrani alongwith Ajay Hemnani, Honey Hemnani, Vijay Hemnani, Ganesh Lalwani and 20 to 25 others attacked the house of one Mamta Ashokkumar Chetwani (40). a resident of the same area. They too assaulted the family members of Chetwani and also damaged property and vehicles.
The attack and then the counter attack triggered panic in the locality. On getting the news, a team of Pratap Nagar police station under the leadership of assistant police inspector Maruti Munde reached the spot.

On seeing the police, many accused fled from the crime scene. However, police were able to arrest 11 accused.

PCR for the accused

The arrested accused were produced before a court on Monday. Police have obtained the PCR of 11 accused. They have been remanded to police custody for two days.
