Gang of six men attempt to kill youth over money in Nandanvan

Nagpur: Close on the heels of daylight lynching of a notorious criminal in a bazaar, a gang of six tried to eliminate a youth over money matter in Nandanvan area here on Friday afternoon. All the six accused are being searched by cops.

The complainant Sheikh Ishak Sheikh Yakub (30) of Hasanbagh told police that his friend Suresh Dinesh Raut (24) of Vijay Pandit Nagar had taken Rs 1 lakh from the accused Ibrahim Khan Akbar Khan, Salman, Lalla and their three accomplices. But for some reason, Suresh could not return the money. On Friday around 3 pm, the six accused accosted Suresh near Vatan Fiza Pan Palace in Kharbi and indulged in exchange of words over the money. The wordy duel turned bloody when the accused attacked Suresh with knives and wooden sticks with the intention of killing him.

Nandanvan PSI N S Vithole has booked the six accused under Sections 307, 341, 147, 148, 149 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and 4+25 of Arms Act and launched a search to apprehend them.
