Gang of hooligans try to murder electronics shop owner in Sitabuldi

Nagpur: A gang of hooligans stormed into an electronics shop in Sitabuldi area, ransacked it and tried to murder owner of the shop over a dispute. The accused have been booked but no arrests have been made so far.

The complainant Prashant Ghanshyamdas Nanvani (43), resident of 172, Bank Colony, Jaripatka, along with his father, was managing counter of his shop Tirupati Electronics, situated at Devgade Bhavan, Telipura, Sitabuldi. Between 6 and 9 pm on Monday, a group of five unidentified hooligans entered Prashant’s shop forcibly on the pretext of repairing a Pen Drive and resorted to quarrelling with him.

The five accused suddenly went on rampage and ransacked the shop and bashed up Prashant. When his father tried to intervene, the five goons whipped out swords and with menacing postures tried to eliminate him. However, Prashant’s shouts for help panicked the attackers and they fled the spot.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Prashant, Sitabuldi Lady PSI Shende has booked the unidentified five accused under Sections 307, 452, 147, 148, 149, 427, 506(B), 120(B) of IPC read with Sub-Section 4+25 of Arms Act and launched a search to apprehend them.
