Nagpur: Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday phoned BJP nominee Chandrashekhar Bawankule and congratulated him for winning the MLC poll from Nagpur Local Authority constituency. Gadkari also congratulated the party candidate Vasantbhai Khandelwal for emerging victorious from Akola constituency.
Earlier, before filing his nomination form, Bawankule had met Gadkari at his residence and had sought his blessings. At that time, Kanchan Gadkari, had extended her good wishes to Bawankule.

On Tuesday too, after winning the MLC poll, Bawankule visited Gadkari’s residence where Kanchan Gadkari welcomed him and congratulated him. Present on the occasion were Dr Rajiv Potdar, Sanket Bawankule and Vikas Totde.
