A crispy crunchy and tasty cutlet from Bengali cuisine of which flavor will stay on your tongue and make your family and friends eat more!
1 Dozen large prawns
4 green chilies
½ bunch coriander leaves
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 bunch small leaved methi bhaji
½ pod garlic
¼ tsp turmeric
½ tsp red chili powder
1 slice bread
Salt to taste
¼ tsp curry powder
1 tsp besan
½ cup rice flour
1 cup oil to fry
Grind coriander leaves, cumin seeds, green chilies and onions make masala and keep aside.
Grind methi bhaji, garlic, turmeric, red chili powder and keep aside.
Grind prawns coarsely or mince.
Mix masala and bhaji mixture.
Soak bread in water till soft, squeeze out water and add prawns.
Mix in the dry ingredients except rice flour.
Form into cutlets. Roll in rice flour till well coated.
Shallow fry in hot oil on the tava till brown.
