Nagpur: The Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has recently announced the implementation of a cashless system for fee payments. In a statement issued by the university, it was stated that no cash or cheque payments will be accepted at the university’s cash counter for various fees, including exams, enrolment, and others. This move aims to streamline the fee payment process and provide convenience to the students.
The decision to adopt the online fee payment system was made under the guidance of Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal, with the intention of saving students’ time and effort. Recognizing the inconvenience caused to students when paying fees, the university’s top brass decided to introduce this cashless system.
Previously, students of the Postgraduate Academic Department of the university and those enrolled in affiliated colleges were required to pay their admission fees and other fees in cash. However, with the new system in place, the university will provide a link through the rtmnu.unisuite.in website to the students’ email or mobile number. This link will enable students to make various fee payments through the postgraduate academic department and affiliated colleges.
To facilitate online fee payments, students can utilize several payment options, including UPI, NEFT, RTGS, debit card, and credit card. Similarly, the affiliated colleges and their students will also have the option to pay fees online. The Accounts Department has issued a notification to the concerned colleges, informing them about the new system. The link for fee payment will be sent to the students’ email or mobile number.
This shift towards a cashless system is expected to simplify the fee payment process, reduce administrative workload, and enhance convenience for the students and the university. By embracing online payment options, the RTMNU aims to align with the digital advancements and promote a more efficient and streamlined education system.
As the university moves forward with this transition, it is expected that students and staff members will adapt to the new system quickly, and any potential challenges will be addressed promptly. The RTMNU remains committed to providing a conducive learning environment and continuously improving its administrative processes for the benefit of its students.
