From Rs 60 lakh to Rs 7 cr : Chandrashekhar Bawankule gets 10 times richer in just 5 yrs!

Nagpur: NCP President from Saoner Vidhan Sabha Kishore Choudhary has raised questions over astounding multiplication in the wealth of State Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule who got unbelievable rise in his wealth in just 5 years. Bawankule has furnished extemely different account of his income, belongings and assets in the nomination papers submitted in assembly elections of 2009 and 2014.

Interestingly neither the Election Commission directed any investigation into the whopping difference in income quoted in the two nomination papers, nor any law agency took note of the situation.

Chaudhary alleged that Bawankule in his papers submitted during 2009 assembly elections, had furnished his total wealth and family income at Rs 60 lakh which was revised to Rs 6,94,00,69,000 (six crores ninety four lakh sixty nine thousand) in the papers submitted in 2014 elections.

It is strange that Bawankule whose wealth now run in crores of rupees had in 1996 put himself as Koradi thermal power project affected and wrote to rehabilitation officer in which he demanded land against displacement. Then, he also mentioned in his application that he had got married and staying separately from his family. Even the assets shown in the name of Bawankule’s children in his election undertaking raised suspection.

Chaudhary has demanded that if both the state and central election commissions not take act in time and conduct an impartial probe, he would be left with no option but to move the court. Chaudhary also cast aspersion over the non-action on the part of election commission despite knowing the glitch.

Bawankule’s close associates are confident that Bawankule is bound to go scot free as none of the authorities including election commission or judiciary could do him any harm.

Mr Modi … are you listening?
