Ganeshpeth police booked four miscreants for allegedly attacking a youth and looting his gold chain worth Rs 50,000.
According to information, Niraj Kanhaiyalal Amesar (22), a resident of Brijdham Apartment, Plot No. 202, Chhapru Nagar, was coming back after visiting Jhulelal Mandir at around 11 pm on Tuesday. While he went to bring his Activa moped which was parked in front of Shrikant Electronics shop, Subhash Nagar, four unidentified youths came from behind and started beating him with a base ball stick. The assailants looted the gold chain worn by Niraj and fled from the spot.
Some nearby commuters saw the bleeding Niraj and rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. On the basis of complaint of Niraj, Ganeshpeth police registered a case under sections 394 and 34 of the IPC.
