jain hotel skylarkNagpur: Vivek Jain, the bouncer of Hotel Skylark, who had received bullet injury on his face, continues to be critical. The stuck bullet has not been removed as yet even after 48 hours have elapsed. Vivek Jain has been admitted in Mayo Hospital’s ICU Ward. It is learnt that doctors in Mayo were awaiting arrival of Vivek’s wife from Agra for her signature on some pre-surgery documents. Even though the brother-in-law of Vivek is at Mayo Hospital, the doctors are reportedly not ready for surgery to remove the bullet that has been stuck in throat or neck area.

Sources said that the absconding accused Ramjan Shaha alias Dholwala, who fired a bullet on Vivek Jain on late Monday night, is a history-sheeter. He had earlier booked under a murder charge. Sources further said that the accused Ramjan fired bullet on Vivek following money dispute. Ramjan used to mop up currency notes hurled by customers during playing of archestra at the hotel in which young girls used to sing. Vivek had reportedly spotted Ramjan collecting the money and had warned him to desist himself from the act. This warning probably provoked Ramjan to fire a bullet on Vivek and settle the scores. Meanwhile, cops have intensified their search of Ramjan.

The victim bouncer Vivek Jain earlier was a partner in Krushnam Hotel. Later, he ran a hotel named Balaji Hotel under flyover on Railway Station Road with partnership. However, Vivek withdrew his partnership from this hotel too and then partnered hoimself in playing the archestra at Hotel Skylark. Vivek used to keep a tab on activities during the archestra show. On Monday last too, Vivek was present as usual but was seating in the kitchen of the hotel. Around 11 pm, the accused Ramjan arrived at the kitchen and resorted to wordy duel with Vivek. The brawl took bloody turn when Ramjan fired a bullet on Vivek and fled the spot. The bullet hit throat or neck area and got stuck there. It has not been removed as yet by the Mayo doctors, it is learnt.
