Five New Police Posts Inaugurated to Boost Nagpur’s Security

Nagpur: To enhance law and order and improve public safety, five new police posts have been inaugurated across Nagpur. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal inaugurated the new posts at Ganesh Nagar Koradi, Kapsi, Jamtha, Gondkhairi, and Umargaon.

The move follows Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s directive to strengthen Nagpur’s growing security network amid rapid urban expansion. Bawankule emphasized that the new outposts will make policing more effective, help reduce road accidents, and ensure citizens’ safety as Nagpur emerges as an international city.

The inauguration event, held at the Police Commissioner’s Office, was attended by senior police officials, including Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, Addl CPs Rajendra Dabhade and Shivaji Rathod, and DCPs Lohit Matani and Deepak Agarwal.

DCP Traffic Lohit Matani highlighted that improved traffic management and public participation in road safety will make Nagpur’s transportation more efficient and disciplined.
