Five Day ” Rajasthan Mahotsav ” begins

Nagpur News: “When one speaks of bravery, valour and sacrifice, one can immediately picture the beautiful Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Both states are known for their rich history of great kings and wars. Rajasthan Mahotsav has brought about a unique union of these culture nurturing states,” said mayor Anil Sole in his presidential address at the inaugural ceremony of Rajasthan Mahotsav, an exhibition of the rich culture and heritage of Rajasthan. The exhibition is being organised by Shri Bikaneri Maheshwari Panchayat Yuva Samiti, Marwadi Foundation and entrepreneuship promoting organisation at South Central Zonal Cultural Centre, Civil Lines.

The exhibition is being organised to give Vidarbhites a taste of the culture of Rajasthan. The exhibition was inaugurated at the hands of the chairman of All India Maheshwari Association Jodhraj Laddha. Also present on the occasion were former minister Ramesh Bang and chairman of Vanrai Foundation Girish Gandhi. Laddha, in his address said that the youth of the city will get exposure to Rajasthani culture through the exhibition and that it will be a great platform for the community to bind.

While addressing the gathering, Girish Gandhi appreciated the nature of the Marwadi community of mixing with local communities in every state. Their love for togetherness makes them an undivisible part of the stat’s culture and organising Rajasthan Mahotsav in a city like Nagpur is a matter of pride for the city. Prominently present during the ceremony were Sunita Daga, Raja Mohta, Subodh Mohta, Hanumandas Daga, Atul Kotecha, Deepak Mohta, Shirish Mundhada, Vijay Murarka and others.

DSC_0230The exhibition consists of Rajasthani delicacies, folk art, costumes and tourism. A replica of a famous temple in Rajasthan has been erected at the venue of the exhibition will conclude on Jaunary 6.
