First CAP round for Engineering admission, option form submission starts from Sunday

The first round of admission to various engineering colleges for 2014-15 under centralized admission process (CAP) along with related other activities will begin here from Sunday, July 13. The online submission and confirmation of option form of CAP will also pick up from the same day. Under this round admission will be handed out to the students in various colleges that include autonomous colleges, state government run aided colleges, university managed institutes, university departments and ICT Mumbai. Besides, seats of couple of unaided colleges will also be filled under this round.

According to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) three CAP rounds will be conducted (2 rounds by allotment another by counseling) instead of four CAP rounds. It is neither required nor mandatory for the candidate to go to Application Form Receipt Centers (ARC) for confirmation of online option form. However, candidate can avail the facility at ARC for filling and confirmation of option form if required. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 50/- in cash as facilitation fee for each of CAP Round I & II at ARC if the facilitation is availed by the candidate. All ARC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for submission & confirmation of option forms during the schedule.

Handful of information

–       Candidates should not share or disclose their password to anybody.

–       Once  the  candidate  confirms  his/her  Option/Preference  form  online  through  his/her Login ID for the respective admission rounds from a place convenient to him, candidate will  not  be allowed  to  change/cancel  the  option/preference  submitted  under  any circumstances.

–       The Option/preference form just submitted, but not confirmed by the candidate himself/herself will not be processed for allotment for respective CAP Rounds. All Institutes shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for Reporting of candidates during the schedule.
