Nagpur: A 43-year old man was attacked with swords, sticks by a father-son duo and their 7-8 accomplices. The man was later dragged by motorcycle for quite a distance. The critically injured man has been admitted to Mayo Hospital. The spine-chilling incident was reported from Bajeria. One accused person has been arrested in this connection.
The trouble started when the father-son duo Vinod Awasthi and Anand Vinod Awasthi (40) and their 7-8 accomplices had warned the victim Kaushal Rajnikant Trivedi (43), resident of Bajeria, to keep his office closed on March 27. However, Kaushal snubbed the warning and kept his office open. Enraged by Kaushal’s rebuff, the accused on Tuesday around 6.30 pm pulled Kaushal out from his office and attacked him with swords and sticks. Not satisfied with their bloody act the accused later dragged Kaushal by a motorcycle for quite a distance leaving him critically injured. He was immediately taken to Mayo Hospital by nearby residents.
Ganeshpeth PSI Parchake, based on a statement of Kaushal, booked the accused father-son duo and others under Sections 143, 144, 148, 448, 323, 326 of IPC read with Section 4/25 of Arms Act and arrested the accused Anand Vinod Awasthi. Search for other accused is on.
