Cultural festivals of most colleges provide a platform for students to showcase their innate and acquired talents. The participation of students in these cultural festivals or Annual Gathering also works as stress buster. Participation in these cultural festivals also brings together the students which in-turn helps in team-work on projects. With students having to undergo a strenuous routine of lectures, viva-voce, project submissions and examinations, these cultural festivals works as a break from their routine and a time when they can let their guard down and enjoy themselves.
An innovative fashion show was held at Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) as part of their Cultural Festival eLITe 2k16. The fashion show aptly titled “eLITe 2k16” showcased an elite range of designer themes including Cowboy attire, Western attires and an innovative “Angels and Demons”. The attire ranged from structured gowns to leather jackets, boots, stylish check shirts, gowns and one-piece-dresses. Appropriate props were used which included whips and guns to complement their attire. The performance of the participants mesmerized the audience. The accompanying music made many youth to start dancing too.
The fashion show was choreographed by Fashion Model and Choreographer Shahezad Sheikh and was adjudged by the short-films actresses and winners of many fashion shows Rutuja Motghare and Ashlesha Rahule.
The contestant and the audience had gala time since it was the last day of the College Festival. To conclude the event, all the final year students presented a ramp walk.
