Nashik: In Maharashtra, the 21-member coordination committee, comprising prominent farmer leaders and agricultural experts, that met in Nashik on Thursday has threatened to stage a rail blockade on June 13, which would be preceded by protests outside the offices of district collectors and tehsildars on June 12.

The recently-reconstituted committee, which comprises prominent leaders including Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana chief Raju Shetti, Bhai Jagtap, Bacchu Kadu, among others, met on Thursday to chalk out the future course of action. In his address, Raju Shetti, without directly naming anybody, said that a traitor within the party was responsible for trying to break up the agitation and the party would soon take a call with regard to the traitor.

He was hinting at party member Sadabhau Khot, who is currently the minister of state for agriculture and marketing in Maharashtra, who had taken the lead in breaking the agitation when the core committee members met the CM in Mumbai.

Shetti said that the agitation shall be intensified by staging protests outside offices of district collectors on June 12 and rail blockade across the state on June 13
