Farmer, family threaten to commit suicide in front of CM’s bungalow

Nagpur: A farmer from Nagpur district has on Monday threatened to commit suicide along with family members in front of bungalow of Chief Minister.

According to a communiqué sent by D W Bagul, Senior Security Officer, Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat, to Superintendent of Police, Nagpur Rural, the farmer Sagar Mandre, resident of Magardhokla, Tehsil Umred, District Nagpur, on Monday phoned Security Office of Assembly in Mumbai and informed that he along with seven members of his family will commit suicide in front of Chief Minister’s bungalow.

The farmer said that he was provoked by a person named Amitabh Joshi. However, the farmer Sagar Mandre has not specified date and time of his and family’s planned suicide. Sagar phoned the Security Office of Assembly in Mumbai from his mobile phone 9850050620, said the communiqué.

The Superintendent of Police, Nagpur Rural, has been asked to look into the matter and initiate appropriate action.
