Nagpur:
As many as 83 teachers of Gurunanak Hindi/English Primary School, Bejhanbaug, have been complaining of mental harassment by the Principals- Pearl Harold Michael and Jaspal Salooja. The teachers have alleged that they are being mentally harassed by the school administrators. They have claimed that in the name of management and organising programs, money is collected from the staff. They have added that their cell phones are acquiesced during the working hours and are often tampered by the authorities.

Going through the same for a long time now, the threshold bubble of the staff members burst when two of the teachers were unable to attend the school on October 2nd and thus, have been marked ‘Absent’ instead of ‘On leave’. As is being informed, three senior teachers retired from the school voluntarily due to this pestering. They were, however, made to run around for granting pensions for two years.

Narrating their agonies further, the school teachers have also blamed Pearl Havoc of not signing the loan approvals while the staff members apply for loans.”It is compulsory to maintain an Employee Service Record within three months of appointing a permanent faculty. Also, the concerned employee must be given a duplicate of the same. However, openly violating the rules, none of the faculty members have been provided with the same”, stated one of the teachers.”We are not even provided a salary slip and are often deprived of perks being given by the government”, he added.

While talking to Nagpur Today, the teachers also informed that they have already complained the matter to the Deputy Director of Education but no action has been taken. Complaints of offensive talks with female employees and security guards have also been registered. The faculty members are thus demanding an immediate removal of both the principals who could not be reached for their comment on the issue.
