Facebook’s young big tycoon Mark Zuckerberg is up with some new resolutions for the year 2015. As we all know that he had already made it with two of his promises – learning to speak Mandarin and eating only that meat which he slaughtered himself. Now for this year Zuckerberg outsourced this year’s must dos for him from his followers.
And picking up the best few, he chose one to keep it on his top priority…and guess what…he has resolved to read a book every two weeks.
“My challenge for 2015 is to read a new book every other week — with an emphasis on learning about different cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies,” Zuckerberg posted publicly on his Facebook.
Other previous challenges include wearing a tie every day, meeting one new person who doesn’t work at Facebook every day, and writing a thank you note each day to someone who made the world better
Zuckerberg created a “Year in Book” Facebook page and urged his friends to join him in the project. As of Monday morning, it had more than 100,000 likes.
The first book in his program, Moises Naim’s The End of Power, was out of stock on Monday on Amazon and had a sales ranking of No. 138. The book was first published in 2013.
A similar sell-out phenomenon often occurs when media proprietor Oprah Winfrey lists books to read for her audience in her Book Club.
