Externed criminal seriously injured in pistol firing

Nagpur News : An externed criminal has been injured in pistol firing near Awale square, in proximity of  Kamal talkies. As the serious incident took place in broad daylight, it created sensation in the area. The victim, Roshan Devidas Kamde (32) was admitted to Madan Hospital by his friend Raghu. Roshan was operated upon by Dr Rajendra Baghe and Dr Kanhaiya Chandak who removed a bullet from his leg. The attending doctors said that the bullet has hit left leg, under the waist. The victim is said to be out of danger now. Pachpaoli police are investigating into the matter.

It is said that the victim is a resident of Wadi and was externed to Wardha district a few days before the elections. He had come to Awale square to purchase a pistol. Roshan’s friend Raghu, a resident of Bihar and student here and Roshan were taking trial of the pistol inside a car when the pistol got fired seriously injuring Roshan. The car (Indica) owner fled from the spot after that.

An offence of murder of one S Mishra alias Sardar is registered against the victim Roshan. He was lodged in jail in this connection. There is also an offence of attempt to murder against Roshan.

The police arrested his friend Raghu, who had also disappeared from the hospital after admitting Roshan. Raghu was arrested from the restaurant opposite the hospital from where he was keeping close eye on people coming in and going out. Raghu is taken to Pachpavali police station for further investigation.

It is only after Roshan came to his senses that police could know about Raghu who was later arrested.

On getting the news from senior officers of Pachpaoli police station,  additional police commissioner, Sanjay Saxena and additional police commissioner Pandey  along with staff visited the hospital to take stock of the situation.

Further investigation is in progress.
