Nagpur: A middle aged retired constable and his wife defrauded four persons of a family to the tune of over Rs 11 lakh on the pretext of selling them property between May 2010 and May this year.
Jaripatka police have booked accused Sudhir Keshavrao Jambhulkar (50), a retired constable and his wife Bharti, both residents of Bezonbagh in this connection.
According to police sources, accused Sudhir and Bharti had created fake property layout in the name of ‘Bharti Developers’ near Khobragade Square and started dealing in plots back in 2010. Complainant Atul Laxmanrao Kshirsagar (30),a resident of Plot. No. 50/386 came in contact with accused duo. Atul was interested in investing in property and following the affordable range of property he roped in three of his relatives. However, done with payments, when Atul and his kin went to ask for their possession, they were in shock.
