Nagpur: A woman was abducted and raped by her estranged husband under the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli police station. The shameful act took place between June 21 and June 22.
The accused, Subhash Ramprasad Bhalerao (30) is a resident of Kamgar Nagar. According to sources, Subhash was estranged with his 32-year-old wife and a divorce case is underway in the court. On June 21, the accused abducted his wife and raped her between June 21 and 22. He later released the victim but threatened her of dire consequences if she narrates the incidence to anyone.
However, after being released, the victim reached Pachpaoli police station and lodged a complaint against Subhash. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 376 (b), 363, 342, 323, 506 of the IPC and booked the accused.
