Nagpur: Creator of revolution in information and technology sector in India and founder of leading IT company Infosys Padma Vibhushan Narayan Murthy will be honoured with lifetime achievement award on September 16 at 6 pm. Engineer”s Day is celebrated every year by Engineers” Forum on birth anniversary of M Visvesvaraya. The award function will be held at Rani Kothi, Civil Lines on the occasion of this day.
Birth anniversary of M Visvesvaraya is celebrated throughout day on September 15. Stalwarts in various fields are honoured with lifetime achievement award. This time award will be presented to Narayan Murthy, who has taken IT sector to a great level. During programme, Murthy will deliver lecture on Indian software industry and its global contribution.
VNIT”s chairman Vishram Jamdar will preside over the function, informed president of Engineers” Forum Suresh Shinde in a press conference. An essay contest for students on Indian software industry and Indians global contribution topic was organised in which 100 students from 26 colleges took part.
