Nagpur Today: Hey Emraan, Welcome to Nagpur.
Emraan Hashmi: Thank Raj, happy to be in Nagpur Today.
Nagpur Today: You have come to Nagpur before too so, How is this 43 degrees, is it disturbing.
Emraan Hashmi: It’s always great to be in Nagpur , it’s like whenever I have come here to promote my film they have done exceptionally well here at Nagpur ,So I am here today for “Ek thi Daayan” and I hope after watching my this film Nagpur will love me more.
Nagpur Today: “Ek thi Daayan” the book is written by Konkana’s father so did you read the book before?
Emraan Hashmi: I haven’t read the book but the short story is written by Mukul ji and this was way before they approached me so Vishal Bhardwaj did the screenplay over it and when they got ready they approached me and I said lets go ahead !!!
Nagpur Today: So what’s your role in the film?
Emraan Hashmi: I play a magician he is kind of a talent who had great magic to do but then things change, so my role has blend of old school magic, the traditional stuff & stuff of David Copperfield and the Indian tradition magic we have seen by our famous magicians. So his two lives one is his childhood and the second when he becomes young and the Daayan follows him.
Nagpur Today: So who is the Daayan in the film?
Emraan Hashmi: I will not tell you that, hahaha (laughs) but yes the way of storytelling is great , that how supernatural things happen in the life of this young man .so a lot of suspense , thriller ,horror coming up.
Nagpur Today: You have the image of a “Serial Kisser”, so how many Daayan’s have you kissed in the film.
Emraan Hashmi: For that you have to watch the film which releases on 19th April.
Nagpur Today: People call you the luckiest man with songs, so which is your favorite song in the film.
Emraan Hashmi: I love Yaaram, I think it’s well written well composed and well sung.
Nagpur Today: Who is your favorite Daayan?
Emraan Hashmi: No man, jhagda karwaoge kya??? hahahahha (laughs)
Nagpur Today: There is a dialogue in the film where you say “I am Tiger in the bed”& this is the tiger city how do you feel coming here.
Emraan Hashmi: I feel at home, its always great coming to Nagpur and I love the city.
