Nagpur News : An elderly woman who sustained serious injuries during an accident on February 18 succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
According to information, the deceased Vrushali Vinod Deshpande (55), a resident of Shilpa Nagar, Wardha Road, was riding pillion with her daughter-in-law Ashwini Shankar Deshpande along with a kid. An unidentified Maruti Car driver dashed into their vehicle between the road at Chhatrapati Square and Narendra Nagar flyover and injured them. Vrushali sustained major injuries in the accident and was rushed to Tambe Hospital for treatment along with other injured. She succumbed to her injuries on Monday during her treatment.
Dhantoli police registered an offence under Sections 279 and 304 (a) read with sub sections 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act. Cops have launched a manhunt for the ‘absconding’ car driver.
