Actor Anil Kapoor has released the first poster of his upcoming film, titled Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, the film also features Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, Regina Cassandra and Madhumalti Kapoor in important roles. In the first poster, Anil, who plays the character of Balbir Singh, can be seen comforting his daughter, Sweety Chaudhary. Both of them have warmth on their faces and pain in their eyes.
While posting the poster on social media, senior Kapoor wrote, “Excited to present the first look of #EkLadkiKoDekhaToAisaLaga. Honoured to begin this journey on my birthday along with my lovely daughter @sonamakapoor. Trailer releases 27th Dec #LetLoveBe” (sic). Here’s the post:
Anil Kapoor is celebrating his 62nd birthday today and the poster comes as a surprise for his fans. Earlier today, even Sonam shared a still featuring her and her father, from the sets of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. She wished happy birthday to her dad and posted, “Happy happy birthday Dad… this has been a momentous year for both of us. For the first time in 10 years of being in this industry I shared a frame with you and was your costar.. And you also had to see me get married.. all this was a complete roller coaster… hard and beautiful at the same time.. I’m thankful for the teachings of love, progressive ideals and morals that have been a part of my upbringing , and each year I realise more and more what a gift that is in this day and age.. love you so much… @anilskapoor #ekladkikodekhatohaisalaga” (sic)

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga deals with inter-religion relationships as Sonam plays a Hindu girl, who falls in love with Sahir Mirza, played by Rajkummar. She gets to know that her father is guilty of infidelity with a woman who aspires to be an actress. That’s when the equations between father-daughter changes. While this is for the first time Anil and Sonam are coming together on-screen in full-fledged characters, the film also marks a debut for South Indian actress Regina. She plays the character of Kuku, the woman with whom Balbir cheats on his wife. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga hits the theatres on February 1.
