Nagpur: The State Excise Department issued a notification declaring dry days on February 20, February 21 (voting days) and February 23 (result day) of the civic elections. Collector Sachin Kurve’s office on February 16 issued the notification in this regard, informed Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Kumbhare.
279 vehicles for poll duty
The election department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation has successfully arranged 170 big, 34 mini buses and 75 jeeps and vans to be required for poll duty. These vehicles will be used on the eve of polling i.e. February 20 and on polling day i.e. on February 21. The NMC will procure 100 big and 34 small buses from NMC’s transport department, while 70 will be obtained from MSRTC.
