Nagpur: It was a proud moment for Orange City as Dr Reet Vidhani, a dentist of repute and mother of a child, won ‘Beauty with Purpose’ title at ‘Mrs India Universe 2018’ contest held in Pune recently.
In an exclusive interaction with Nagpur Today, Dr Reet shared her experience and journey and how she won the title as she always wanted to do something for a social cause.
“Being a mother it is difficult to manage things in life but motherhood teaches us the finer points of life. Initially, I was worried as I used to think will it be possible for me to go on such big platform as I had responsibility of my family and my child. But I always had support of my family which helped me in emerging as a winner of the title. My journey throughout the beauty pageant was a mesmerizing one.
Every day was a new experience for me as I never participated in any such beauty pageants before. It was a difficult for me as all the participants were more experienced and some of them had won many titles in such events. But I was strong and confident to win a title among all the participants,” the doctor said.
“In the six-day event we had different workshops to groom us throughout the pageantry. It was a challenging task to match with such an experienced people who had won many different titles before”.
Her future aim is to help people through her social service and to support the underprivileged children in education and health.
