Nagpur: The State Election Commission has appointed senior State Government officers as Chief Election Observers for each municipal corporation to ensure that the elections are conducted fearlessly, freely, and transparently.
It has given this responsibility to Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware, Additional Commissioner at the Nagpur Divisional Commissioner’s office, as the Chief Election Observer for the NMC elections. An election observer of the rank of Additional District Collector has also been appointed to assist Dr Khode.
Santosh Thite, Additional District Collector of Chimur, Chandrapur district, has been appointed as the election observer for the NMC polls, Dr Khode-Chaware discussed the election process with the election officers and instructed them to ensure that the elections are conducted fearlessly, freely, and transparently.
