Nagpur: Dr Bhagyashri Pramod Hardikar, mother of Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. She was 66. Dr Bhagyashri breathed her last at 7.50 am at the official residence of the Municipal Commissioner in Civil Lines. She leaves behind son Shravan, daughter-in-law Aditi, daughter Shraddha Shinde, son-in-law, and host of relatives to mourn the loss.
The late Dr Bhagyashri Hardikar, after completing her MSc and PhD in Zoology, joined Vaze Kelkar College in Mumbai as a lecturer. She retired from the same college as Head of Zoology Department.
The last rites were performed at Electric Crematorium in Ambajhari Ghat at 6 pm on the same day. A condolence meeting, presided over by Mayor Pravin Datke, was held at the crematorium.
