Nagpur: The overall development of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in last 7 months initiated by the officiating dean Dr Abhimanyu Niswade has bore fruits for him.
Taking cognizance of the outstanding work done by him, the government has elevated Dr Niswade as the dean of GMCH. According to information a fax about the appointment has been received by GMCH on Thursday.
Dr Niswade was given the responsibility as the officiating dean of GMCH in last september.
Giving prominence to cleanliness in the hospital, Dr Niswade’s efforts made every nook and corner of GMCH spick and span. He made wearing of Apron compulsory for all the doctors.
To ensure that maximum number of patients visiting the hospital get treatment, Dr Niswade increased the timing of OPD by one more hour.
Dr Niswade took special efforts to reopen the old casualty ward, so that the accident patients could get immediate treatment. GMCH, Nagpur is the first hospital in the state with 2 emergency wards.
