DPS MIHAN Leads Nagpur District to IInd Place at State Thai boxing Championships

The Thai boxing Maharashtra State Association Cup 2026 was held on January 10 and 11 at the Indoor Hall, Krida Sankul, Nanded, witnessing outstanding performances by young athletes from across Maharashtra. Nagpur District secured the Second Place Trophy for Highest Medal Tally, with a remarkable contribution from students of Delhi Public School (DPS), MIHAN, Nagpur.

Students of DPS MIHAN won an impressive 30 medals (16 Gold, 8 Silver and 6 Bronze). Medal winners included Siddharth Gaurav and Advika Tripathi (Silver) and Vaibhav Shukla (Gold) from Class 4; Anya Kumar, Atharva Kaushik, Kimaya Zambare and Kailvalya Pawar (two Gold medals) from Class 5, along with Aarushi Jaibhar (Silver) and Meetansh Satpute and Naisha Bawankar (Bronze).

From Class 6, Arhana Bansod, Prisha Kakde and Shaivie Bhagat won Gold medals, while Akshari Shenlurkar secured Silver. Class 7 performers included Zayan Chaudhary (Gold), Urvi Gadge (Silver), and Jash Pugalia and Prabhav Maheshwari (Bronze).

Class 8 students Tanishqa Shahu, Aafiya Baig, Soumya Papniwar and Aadhya Randive won Gold medals, while Hrishita Sharma and Sidhanth Silodiya earned Silver. From Class 9, Abhirath Bansod and Anvi Shrivastava clinched Gold, Sidhishan Sahoo won two Gold medals, and Nidhyathi Bhagat secured Bronze.

The school management congratulated the students and coaches for their dedication and discipline, stating that the achievement reflects DPS MIHAN’s strong commitment to holistic development through sports.
