
Nagpur: Delhi Public School (DPS), MIHAN, Nagpur celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride and patriotic fervour on the school campus. The programme was graced by the chief guest Nitin Nimje, retired Junior Commissioned Officer of the Indian Navy, along with Principal Nidhi Yadav, teachers, and students.
On this momentous occasion, Pro-Vice Chairperson and President Tulika Kedia and Director Savita Jaiswal joined the programme virtually and extended their warm wishes to the staff and the students.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. In her address, Principal Nidhi Yadav encouraged students to uphold constitutional values, strive for excellence in academics and sports, and become responsible and disciplined citizens of the nation.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest Nitin Nimje inspired students with his words on discipline, courage, and responsible citizenship as well as sharing valuable examples of the importance of teachers in shaping a student’s life. A special highlight of the event was the Scholars’ Badge Ceremony, where students who consistently secured A1 grades for three consecutive years were honoured for their academic excellence.
The school also felicitated its Sports Achievers who represented DPS MIHAN at national and international competitions, bringing laurels to the institution. Cultural performances including a patriotic poem, Lezim drill, and folk dance added colour and enthusiasm to the celebration. The programme concluded with a message of unity, discipline, and dedication towards building a strong and progressive India.
