Nagpur:
The atmosphere at the meeting of District Planning Committee (DPC) on Friday turned steamy when the Guardian Minister blasted the “Late Lateef” officials who reached the meeting according to their own time. Giving a dressing down, Bawankule warned the officials of stern action if they are found reaching the meeting late in future.

The meeting of District Planning Committee was being held at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall at 10 am on Friday. It was expected from the concerned officials to reach the meeting on time. But to the exasperation of the Guardian Minister, 33 officials reached the venue well beyond the scheduled time. The red-faced Bawankule made the names of “Late Lateef” babus public and said that he himself, the District Collector, people’s representatives and members of DPC arrived at the meeting on time. And those officials who were expected to reach the meeting well before the dignitaries were found entering the meeting hall “pleasurely.” The outcome was natural. Those “Late Lateef” were warned of a stern action if they take the DPC meeting lightly and show up their faces late in the future.

District Agriculture Officer warned of transfer:
The Agriculture Officer Archana Kadu faced the wrath of the Guardian Minister for not spending the money meant for the ambitious Jalyukta Shivar scheme, a pet project of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The non-spending of Jalyukta Shivar money left the Agriculture Department high and dry. The enraged minister immediately warned Kadu of her transfer if the same folly is committed again. “The State Government is slogging day and night for the success of the ambitious scheme which is immensely beneficial for rural people. But you are working carelessly. Is it your ploy to get transferred?” Bawankule posed a pointed question to the District Agriculture Officer.
