Shri Agrasen Jayanti Mahotsav 2015 concluded with prize-distribution ceremony
Nagpur: The celebrations of the auspicious Jayanti of highly revered Agrakul Pravartak Maharajadhiraj Shri Agrasenji concluded with a dazzling programme at Agrasen Bhavan on October 14, 2015.
Like all auspicious occasions, the programme started with the lighting of the traditional lamp. This was followed by the worship (Puja-Archana) of their Kul-Pita Agrakul Pravartak Maharajadhiraj Shri Agrasenji.
The President of Youth Wing of Agrasen Community Rajesh Agrawal gave the introductory speech.
The Chairman of the Reception Committee Rajkumar Bachua while addressing the gathering elaborated about the various competitions. He said that while the participants retained their competitive spirit, the fellowship and camaraderie was enjoyed by all.
Chairman of the Agrasen Mandal described the highlights of all the activities held by Agrasen Mandal. Secretary of the Agrasen Mandal Prakash Mehadia (President of NVCC) also spoke eloquently about how the activities of the Agrasen Mandal have benefitted in bringing the members of the community together.
Vice President of Agrasen Mandal Advocate Jagdish Agrawal spoke eloquently about of their Kul-Pita Shri Agrasenji.
Second Vice Chairman Sandeep Agrawal gave information on Maharaj Agrasen and how Agrawal community traces the origin of Agrawals to the legendary King Agrasen of the Solar Dynasty. He explained that Agrawal means the “children of King Agrasen” or the “people of Agroha”. He spoke about the ideologies of Agrasen. He also informed the gathering about the new Agrasen Bhavan which is coming up in Dhargaon on Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway.
Managing Director of Goel Ganga Group Atul Goel too spoke about Agrasen and the ideals that he set forward. He also informed the gathering about the Goel Ganga Project which is coming up in Nagpur.
Managing Director of Sandeep Developers Private Limited Ashok Agrawala spoke about the importance of Education and how children of the community should excel in the field of Education.
Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Shyam Hardikar spoke about Nagpur becoming a Smart city and how every citizen has a role to play in Nagpur becoming a Smart city.
In the sports activities like chess, carom board, cricket and volleyball matches that were organized during the Shri Agrasen Jayanti Mahotsav 2015 almost all the participants played well. Nearly 300 people benefited from the free Health Camp organized on the occasion.
In the women centric stage show, very good response was seen with the awesome performance in the cultural programme, Nari Kal, Aaj and Kal, Ratanlal Agrawal, Usha Agrawal, Kishore Agrawal, Rajkumar Diwanka, Rashmi Diwanka, Rashmi Jindal, Vinod Garg, Rajesh Goyal and Manju Goyal’s performance is worth a mention. Anthankumar Agrawal and Reena Kailash Jogani were the guests in this programme.
In the debate competition “Maa Baap Sey Doori-Bhala Yeh Kaisi Majboori”, What a helpless situation that is developing with distance forming between parents and children. The outcome was that distance cannot be measured in kilometers but lies in Minds and Culture of the children. Often it is observed that the children do not even know what state their parents are just in the next room, while a son living in London greets his parents on Skype before he leaves for his work.
Mister and Missus Agrawal Contest evoked a very good response. Creativity in various craft and arts events organized during the Jayanti Samaroh for ladies and kids too evoked a very good response.
The Humour-Poets Meet (Hasya Kavi Sammelan) and their rendition evinced a very good response to a house full audience. During all the progarmmes, this year witnessed huge crowds as never before seen.
Prizes for the winners of various events organized during the four-day celebrations. This aim to strengthen integrity, brotherhood and bonding among the Agrawal community was definitely achieved while preserving the sportsmanship and competitiveness.
The organizing committee includes President Urmiladevi Agrawal, Vice-President Prakash Mehadia, Treasurer Hajarilal Agrawal, Chairman of Welcome Committee Rajkumar Bachuka, Vice-Chairman of Welcome Committee Vijay Kumar Saraf, Lady Organizers Sushma Agrawal and Deepa Agrawal, Youth Organizers Rajesh Agrawal, Vishwas Saraf, Reena Garg, Arpit Agrawal and Deepak Agrawal worked hard for the success of the programme.
