Dhananjay Munde (3)Nagpur: Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Parishad (Council) Dhananjay Munde on Tuesday castigated the Government for its utter inaction in implementing its own scheme. Munde said that the government had launched a scheme by which a Smart Dalit Village was to be developed in each district. The scheme was named after Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. However, in the past four months the Government has not even prepared of the draft of the scheme. This inaction on the part of Government is nothing but an insult to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, charged Munde.

The issue was during Question Hour in the Council. Participating in the discussion, Munde launched a scathing attack on Government for its anti-Dalit policies. He said that earlier there was Dalit Slums Development scheme in the State. The Government should clarify whether the scheme is bundled out or not. The Government has gone on changing spree the names of schemes started by Congress-NCP Government. But this exercise too is not being done properly. Four months have lapsed after the scheme after Dr Ambedkar was announced but the draft is still not ready.

There are no funds for the scheme. This amounted to heaping insult on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Government can go on starting any number of ‘Smart’ schemes but should not indulge in deceiving people in the name of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, thundered Munde.
