Nagpur: Ganeshotsav celebrations at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, witnessed the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Nagpur Police Commissioner Shri Vishwas Nangare Patil.
Addressing the students, Shri Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the importance of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in India’s development. He spoke about India’s rapid progress in various sectors and encouraged students to contribute to the nation’s growth through knowledge, innovation and technological advancement.

Police Commissioner Shri Vishwas Nangare Patil addressed the students on anti-ragging, drug abuse and narcotics, highlighting their serious impact on students’ education, career and personal lives. He urged students to stay away from drugs and other harmful substances and to build a safe, disciplined and responsible campus environment.
CP Nangare Patil also spoke about the potential health effects of excessive exposure to DJ sound, loud music and laser lights, advising students to celebrate festivals responsibly while keeping health and safety in mind.
The visit added significance to the Ganeshotsav celebrations at VNIT and conveyed an important message of innovation, responsible citizenship, student safety and healthy celebrations.
