Demonetization: Khadi sale takes a hit

Khadi Gramudyog
Nagpur:
The demonetization seems to have taken a heavy toll of sale of khadi. The Mahal-based Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan recorded dismal sale of khadi items. The sale since November 8, the day old notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 junked, stood between Rs 10 lakh and 15 lakh as compared to last year when the sale was around Rs 30-40 lakh.

However, as the Repuplic Day is approaching, the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan expects the sale to pick up and hoping to sale the tricolor worth Rs 1.50 lakh as was the case the last year.
